Devin is a designer, visual storyteller and producer. She has ten years of experience in creating digital content for various industries, from conservation, to design, to food, to labor, to advertising. The thread that links all of her work together is dynamic, visual storytelling.
As the head of creative at The Nature Conservancy California, Devin works to expand effective, emotive storytelling across all communication channels. Devin and her team create work with world renowned scientists to tell stories about their work, the natural world, and climate crisis our planet is facing.
As a team lead at IDEO, Devin worked on global brand and content strategy. She developed visual guidelines for photography and videography as well as worked closely on content strategy for IDEO.com and IDEO’s social media platforms. She launched and co-produced the Webby Award winning blog, The Octopus.
Prior to IDEO, she was a visual effects producer and create work for Google, Nike, Audi of America, FitBit, and Acura.
Her latest project, Feeding The Giant, takes an in-depth look at food industry workers’ daily struggle—a struggle to live in a system of economic oppression in which low wages act as a catalyst for other forms of hardship, such as sexual harassment, and racial and gender discrimination. The project includes stories from workers in nine states across America.
Every person and place has a story worth telling. That’s how Devin approaches her creative projects and her life. She’s fueled by the natural beauty of the world and complex nature of human beings. She is happiest sleeping under the stars and has a goal to visit as many dark sky zones as possible, camera in hand.
